All right, here we go...alpha time. Can't wait any longer to get this out! READ THIS WHOLE OP. TWICE.

INFAMOUS OPEN SOURCE PROJECT
(IOSP)

This is a VERY new project, that will grow and span across multiple devices and Android versions over time. This particular release is the first one under the IOSP name. Each IOSP rom that our team releases will be built entirely from source, with our own hand-picked tweaks and enhancements baked in throughout the process of preparing a ROM for general release. We're learning a lot as we go and hope that you will enjoy what we can crank out!

This has taken the better part of 2 months for me to research, learn, build, soft brick, re-build, re-build again, cry, re-build and finally get this. I really hope you enjoy using this as much as I do - it has become my DD.

MANY THANKS GO TO:

- Jamison904, THE Infamous developer and fearless leader. Rock on bro, this is gonna be exciting!!
- The other members of Team Infamous - shnn2011, jookdakang23, and Blesstheattack. A super talented group of which I am proud to be a member!
- pershoot - a GENIUS and huge source of inspiration! His work with this device has been uncanny.
- The entire Cyanogenmod team for inspiration and innovation in Androidland
- zepplinrox for the included scripts, that let your device run the way it was designed to run
- The entire XDA Developers community for providing tools, knowledge, and support

All right, enough with the sappy stuff. Let's get down to business.

Code:

#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* This is an ALPHA ROM.  Its target audience is stronger users at this
* time.  It is VERY stable, but may not be entirely noob-friendly right
* now.  If you are inexperienced, it may be better to wait a
* couple of releases!!  We'll get there though.  :)
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/

By using the rom you agree with the above terms!

- COMPLETELY built from AOSP (Google) source code for Android 4.0.4 - this is a "from scratch" ROM.
- Slim, smooth, fast. The way Google intended. This is as pure and simple as Android should be.
- pershoot's 3.1.10 kernel from CM9 and all its benefits - OC to 1400MHz, USB charging, and a huge list of other wonderful things. Check out Droid Basement for details on this kernel, and all of pershoot's current projects.
- Pre-rooted
- SuperSU
- Busybox
- Init.d support
- Live Wallpaper support
- Face Unlock works great (use Pattern as alternate, see Bugs section)
- Hand selected build.prop tweaks for UI optimization, improved Wifi performance, touchscreen response, and video playback
- Replaced default wallpaper with a minimalistic, texturized slick look.
- The following scripts from zepplinrox have been placed under xbin/scripts for you to use to tweak your ROM out!!! Read this. Use SManager from Play Store to execute these.

* V6 Supercharger!! (this has been tested and is of course FANTASTIC. Use setting 9 for minfrees!)
* KickAssKernelizer (this is awesome)
* Die-Hard Battery Calibrator (this is also awesome)
- GooManager ready right out of the gate. As updates are released, you will receive OTA notification! TWRP is the recommended recovery and you can install it directly with this app. GO GET IT!! I will bake it into the next release for convenience's sake.

Code:

Change log:

02.01.2013 - Initial Release.  See above.

There is some stuff to be aware of, yes. I told you it was an alpha. ;)

- With every reboot, the ROM will enable physical keyboard as default...effectively rendering the soft keyboard inoperable. DON'T PANIC! On first boot, SKIP THE WIFI CONNECTION AND GMAIL ACCOUNT SETUP. Go straight into the ROM, go into Settings > Language & Input, and set the default keyboard to AOSP Keyboard. Then look for a keyboard icon on the status bar...click on it, and set the toggle for "Use Physical Keyboard" to OFF. This will give you the soft keyboard and away you go! I am working to determine how to resolve this with the source and will try to provide a fix in a future update.

- Gmail may force close when you download it. Go to settings - accounts and sync - your Google account and check off 'sync Gmail'. Wait 30 seconds and you should be good.

- As a result of the above...DO NOT USE PIN UNLOCK!! A reboot will lock your tab and you won't be able to unlock it again. Use pattern or swipe...and if you use Face Unlock use Pattern as your alternate for now.

- Wallpaper scrolling may be a bit screwy. Using a different launcher to prevent wallpaper scrolling covers this problem up nicely. Nova Launcher is SERIOUSLY recommended...and the V6 Supercharger will "supercharge" the launcher beautifully for you!

- There is no baked in camera app at this time. I'm working on a port to be included for the next release. All the drivers for both cameras are there and function correctly though - just download "Camera ICS" from the Play Store and you'll have a camera (although it'll probably have some ads...ad blocker being considered for upcoming release)

- No advanced power menu at this time. There is no built in reboot option as it stands today, and various power menu mods I have attempted have not been fruitful as of yet. That will take me a bit more time but I'm committed to providing that! Use ROM Toolbox Lite to gain access to 4 way reboot capability in the meantime.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Full wipe is a MUST coming from ANY ROM. If you haven't done a full wipe, wipe before complaining... :) and TWRP is RECOMMENDED! You get that cool OTA support with TWRP.

- Take a NANDROID of your current ROM
- Wipe Cache
- Wipe Dalvik
- Factory Reset
- Wipe System
- Flash the ROM
- Flash the official Gapps ICS 4/29/2012 package - Get it here.

[ICS4.0.4][STOCK][P7510]Mackay kernel 1.2 (10 February 2013)

I have been making ROMs & kernel for the Galaxy S phone for quite some time. I have also worked on porting this (CM10.1-based) ROM to the Galaxy tab. I do think, however, that CM10.1 is not worth it (for me!), stock ICS is faster/smoother. And I like the floating apps in the status bar.

I have started to port my kernel to the Galaxy Tab.

Features:
-Based on Samsung ICS update 2 sources
-Voodoo sound
-Enable USB charging
-XZ compression of kernel
-SIO scheduler
-BFQv5 scheduler (with upstream improvements)
-ROW scheduler (tweaked, default scheduler)
-many improvements to IO schedulers in general
-GPU overclock (based on A1 kernel)
-1200-1400-1600MHz OC steps (based on A1 kernel)
-150MHz underclock (based on A1 kernel)
-Voltage adjustment (based on A1 kernel)
-Improve memcopy/memmove
-Improve the performance of memcpy and memmove
-Kill task closest in size to memory needed to free
-LOAD_FREQ (4*HZ+61) avoids loadavg Moire
-Entropy tweaks: http://lwn.net/Articles/489734/
-arm/crypto: Add optimized AES and SHA1 routines
-build WWAN, NLS & NTFS modules
-CIFS included in kernel
-Removed MMC_CAP_ERASE (so safe for wiping)

You can only flash this if:
-You have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 wifi (also know as GT-P7510 or p4wifi)
-You run a ICS stock rom (so not an AOSP/AOKP/CM-based ROM) - an stock-based ROM such as Infamous is also fine!

I have no plans to port this to other ROMs/devices, as I want to test everything myself and I only own an P7510 running Infamous v2.2. Feel free to port yourself, source can be found through the link given above.

Android Open Kang Project - 4.2.2 - jb-mr1

Hey all, here is a build I compiled of AOKP 4.2.2 for our beloved P7510. It's taken a good chunk of time for me to get this working, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do and I'm happy to be able to bring it to you. This is COMPLETELY UNOFFICIAL, so don't go looking for help on official AOKP threads if your tablet turns into a hot plate!

The ROM is built from a CM device tree (big thanks to pershoot for his work and dedication to our device!) and as such employs a CM 4.2.2 kernel.

I have made no changes whatsoever to this code...this is as pure AOKP as it gets, fresh off their github. None of this ROM is my doing, although I may inject a few goodies of my own as time goes on. All I did was mod pershoot's CM10 device trees as necessary to inherit the right stuff and get the build to compile and work.

For now, I just want to get this thing out to you guys so we can finally have a few OG Tabs bleeding cutting-edge AOKP goodness. Make sure you show love to AOKP and donate to them if you are happy with the ROM!

Not that I should have to clarify, but of course I must also state...
I will not be held responsible for anything that happens to your device if you flash this ROM. You assume all responsibility for modifying and tweaking your tablet/device, and your warranty is instantly voided by doing so. If you come on this thread and yell at me about how your tablet started smoking from the Sammie port after you flashed this ROM, you may get laughed at. (But that won't happen if you read closely, set your expectations accordingly, and follow the instructions. :)
KNOWN ISSUES

- Any current issues that are known to AOKP - make sure you do your research
- Likely any of the same issues that are affecting CM10.1
- It IS likely to be a little choppy. YouTube HD works, but it may cut in and out. Not sure how much can be done about that just yet
- The kernel that compiled with the ROM is a bit dated, but still works just fine. (Duh, it's a pershoot CM kernel.) OC and everything works just fine, you can control it via AOKP's built-in Performance Control feature. I will update it to pershoot's latest as soon as I can, and plan on making some tweaks of my own from source at some point in the near future.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

- FULL AND COMPLETE WIPE IS A MUST (IMHO)
- Boot into recovery of choice
- Take a backup
- Wipe Cache
- Wipe Dalvik
- Wipe Data/Factory Reset
- Wipe /System (or, in CWM, "format /system" under Mounts and Storage menu)
- Flash ROM
- Flash gapps
- Reboot, and wait 10 minutes before touching it at ALL
- Reboot and enjoy
- IMPORTANT NOTE: CM10.1 will, in addition to installing the ROM, automatically move the contents of your /sdcard into /sdcard/0 for multiuser purposes. THIS ROM DOESN'T DO THAT RIGHT NOW - the result, it may look like your whole device has been wiped. FEAR NOT, that is not the case. All you need to do is move your stuff into that /0 folder after you flash the ROM. That can be done with a shell command via adb. OR, you can back up all your files to Cloud (Carbon, db, whatever) and bring them back down after, whichever.

I am currently looking into how to enable the automatic movement of files into the right place now and will throw that into the package immediately once it's done. Therefore, if you're not familiar with adb or how to move your files around while in recovery, you may wish to wait on flashing this until I can get that working for you.

THANKS GO TO:

- Team Infamous
- AOKP
- CyanogenMod and pershoot, for way more than obvious reasons
- The users! I fight for the users.

Again, ENJOY you guys! Hit up my other stuff here in the GTab forum (GSII is next :)) and check out the Infamous ROM INDEX (in my sig below) to see what the rest of Team Infamous is up to these days!

Hi guys,

Yesterday I have flashed stock rom for my GT-P7500 (deployed for Czech Republic at the end of March 2013) and I have tried to find corresponding cifs and md4 modules but with no success.
I have read some guides about compiling kernels and modules and it seems I came up with a working modules for this rom.

The details of the rom, kernel and device are as follows:
Model: GT-P7500
Android version: 4.0.4
Baseband version: P7500XXLQ8
Kernel version: 3.1.10-1197491 dpi@DELL150 #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jan 24 23:29:51 KST 2013
Build number: IMM76D.XWMPJ
PDA:MPJ / PHONE:LQ8 / CSC:MP1 (XEZ)

Hopefully you'll find some use for those modules. ;)

[ROM][P7500][ICS 4.0.4][XWMPJ] Deepsleeps like a baby - battery drain fix

$
0
0
This is the latest ROM for P7500 available on sammobiles (Czech version) with the deepsleep / wakelock / battery drain issue fixed.

Download link at the bottom of this post.

It's actually a mashup of two roms: P7500XWMPJ_P7500XEZMP1_XEZ (Czech) and P7500ZCLP9_P7500OZHLP9_CHN (China). See below for details.

Background

Since the ICS update, the P7500 tab drains the battery much faster than previous honeycomb versions. It is commonly accepted that this behavior is due to a bug in the kernel that prevents the CPU from deep sleeping. You can verify how much the tab spends in each CPU mode with the CpuSpy app.

How this was fixed

Stiffmeister, a member of a german forum (page 30 onwards) found out that the CHN firmware does NOT have this bug. Massive credit goes to him. His solution involves flashing the CHN firmware, then CWM recovery, then a CWM update that adds additional languages. It remains unknown why the Chinese ROM fixes the deepsleep issues, but so far it's the only one that does.

Phibs, a XDA member further found out that the problem can also be fixed by flashing the boot.img + kernel modules + wpa_supplicant from the chinese rom. It is explained here. Massive credit to him, too.

About this ROM

This is essentally the latest ROM from sammobile (XWMPJ - Czech) with the following modifications:
  • Replaced boot.img with CHN's
  • Replaced /lib/modules/* with CHN's
  • Replaced /bin/wpa_supplicant with CHN's

No other changes have been made other than these.

This is a non-root rom. You can root it yourself if you want. Flashing with odin won't destroy your current recovery nor your data so it's safe to flash on top of an existing stock ICS. Nandroid first. Wipe not needed if coming from stock ICS. Flashing on top of honeycomb not tested.

How to cook your own

If you want to use another (non-Czech) rom as a base and patch it with the china boot.img yourself, follow this procedure:
  1. Grab the two roms from sammobile.
  2. Grab ext4_utils from here.
  3. Go to linux
  4. Unzip ext4_utils and make them:
    Code:

    make
  5. Untar the roms in two separate folders (I used cn for china, cz for czech)
  6. On cn and cz, use simg2img from ext4_utils to turn system.img into an ext4 raw file:
    Code:

    ./simg2img cn/system.img cn/system.ext4
    ./simg2img cz/system.img cz/system.ext4

  7. Mount both cn and cz images:
    Code:

    mkdir cn/fs
    mkdir cz/fs
    sudo mount -o loop cn/system.ext4 cn/fs
    sudo mount -o loop cz/system.ext4 cz/fs

  8. We will be replacing cz's kernel with cn's later, these are dependent files that need to be copied over from cn to cz:
    Code:

    sudo cp cn/fs/lib/modules/* cz/fs/lib/modules
    sudo cp cn/fs/bin/wpa_supplicant cz/fs/bin/wpa_supplicant
    sudo cp cn/fs/bin/wlandutservice cz/fs/bin/wlandutservice

  9. Now, find out what the block size and count were in the original img. Size * count / (1024 * 1024) will give you the filesystem size in MB, we will use it in the next step.
    Code:

    tune2fs -l cz/system.ext4
  10. Rebuild the android image with make_ext4fs (from ext4_utils). 578M is the size in MB, and 4096 is the block size from the above step:
    Code:

    rm cz/system.img
    sudo ./make_ext4fs -s -l 578M -b 4096 -a system cz/system.img cz/fs

  11. You can unmount and remove temporary stuff now:
    Code:

    umount cn/fs
    umount cz/fs
    rmdir cn/fs cz/fs
    rm cz/system.ext4

  12. Copy boot.img over from cn to cz:
    Code:

    cp cn/boot.img cz/boot.img
  13. If you have a custom recovery such as CWM and don't want it to be destroyed by odin when flashing this, remove cz/recovery.img:
    Code:

    rm cz/recovery.img
  14. Now, Odin needs all the img files packed into a tar file with a md5 checksum pigtailed at the end:
    Code:

    cd cz
    tar -H ustar -c *.bin *.img > rom.tar
    md5sum rom.tar >>rom.tar
    mv rom.tar rom.tar.md5

  15. That's it, go to Odin and flash rom.tar.md5

[MOD] Phone calls on CM10.1 / AOKP 4.2.2

$

Hey guys, this is my first post on the forum.
Many people got phone calls on stock ICS, then changed to 4.2.2 and lost it :(
But while seeking the forum, I GOT IT AT LAST!!
Although, it has a bug, which is when u receive a call and slide the call button, as soon as u press it it says "unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped working", but it might work perfectly on other ROMS
I tested it on Infamous ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2220912

Here it is :
Format System (No data wipe required if ur reflashing same rom)
Install ROM, Gapps, and the file attached
Fix permissions (just incase)
Dont reboot untill u do all of that, as in dont reboot in the middle of the procedure.
There u have it ;)
Please tell me if it worked

P.S : i really appreciate Khomsn for making the CM10.1 build with phone calls, but that build is REALLY laggy.
Thank you everyone.
P.P.S : u have to flash i9103DXLP2 modem (has to be that number specifically) really important to do

[SOUNDMOD][05/05]FidelityXAudio - Ultimate high fidelity audio

$

I'm building a new ROM for my new Xperia Z right now mainly for even better audio quality. However, it'll take a while as I plan to try rebuilding audio driver library file for lower latency. Right now I'm on vacation staying at my parents' house so I decided to build this sound mod for Samsung WM8994 devices instead since I have good chance to reunite with all of them right now.

FidelityXAudio is based from PureXAudio for Xperia Z/ZL made by ZeroInfinity. I asked him for permission to derive his works with mine for all-in-one sound mod I plan to release for various devices that support Alsa driver. For this first release, it'll support Nexus S, Galaxy S, Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Tab 10.1 and all variants. Installing this mod will give you the following features below.

Features:
Rooted & Busyboxed - This will replace current root and Busybox with latest SuperSu and Busybox. Since most root access for Xperia Z I tested are so unreliable getting bootloop after mounting system rw, I'll force better ones in this package to avoid that problem.

exFAT support - If you're using Android JellyBean ROM but still not have exFAT support yet, this may help you getting one. It works for Xperia Z/ZL but haven't tested for others yet.

init.d support - This isn't cheap recovery flash init.d script. It'll execute init.d script with root access from hardware boot script level so it works far better than conventional ones for locked bootloader running stock kernel.

Xperia Fidelity script - It's ultimate sound quality mod script I've been developing for years. Not only get you better sound reproduction but also make your system smoother as well.

PureXAudio engine - As FidelityXAudio is based on PureXAudio mod, most PureXAudio features are availble except audio effects and specific sound card stuff. I may consider adding them back later though.

Low latency tweaks - My tweaks inside PureXAudio for lower latency Alsa configuration. Not sure how much of it works though as real measured hardware latency won't change without modifying driver.

Mastering 64-bit quantization - The most accurate 64-bit floating point quantization in Android. I usually end it with 32-bit integer mode but this sounds better for crazy upsampling level.

DSD128 audio processing at 5.6MHz - This will give you high resolution audio simulation. The real sampling rate will still be 44.1KHz but with 128x upsampling for audio processing before downmixing is really something.

Fidelity nVIDIA audio configuration - Optimized for more direct bitstream with lower latency. Only for Tegra devices though.

Removed DSPManager for more solid audio performance - This mod breaks DSPManager in CM ROM so no point in keeping it and you probably won't need it anyway after hearing sound with this mod.

You can't flash this on other devices as it can break audio with incompatible sound card configuration. I tested on my Nexus S, Galaxy S, Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Tab 10.1 and they're all working fine. Guess not many people still use them nowadays but they're great ones for sound quality wise. I'll update again for APQ8064 based devices in next version after releasing new Xperia Z ROM.

l2_hsic fix P4 (GT-P7500, GT-P7501) running CM10.1

l2_hsic issue
l2_hsic running amok (GT-P7500, GT-P7501) is ONE considerable reason for abnormal battery drain.
The so far known counter measures (HC, Stiffmeister + its xda derivate, WiFi-ROM) do not comply to my requests:
- CM10.1 nightlies
- 3G usage
- no l2_hsic hassle

l2_hsic root cause
Analysis of kmsg files provide a consistent pattern. Function if_usb_suspend(..) from modem_link_device_hsic.c does not call wake_lock_timeout(..) in wakelock.c in case of l2_hsic is running amok.
The missed call to wake_lock_timeout is obviously caused by a non cancellable USB-connection.
It is a single non expiring wakelock, what makes trouble.
Inside of modem_link_device_hsic.c I lost track on further explanations.

Candidate to fix the issue
Since I cannot correct the root cause, I tried to fix its consequence.

Basis is the current pershoot P4 CM10.1 kernel.
There are a few spots in its source code, where one could obtain the so called prevent_suspend_time of a l2_hsic wakelock.
A monitor is installed in such place. It triggers, when a l2_hsic wakelock’s individual prevent_suspend_time exceeds >10s (empirical value).
In this case the function wake_lock_timeout is called, which ignites the wakelock’s expiration.
Next the trigger is reset and the monitoring becomes active again.

As a second and measure of last resort the tab is shutdown, once l2_hsic’s total prevent_suspend_time exceeds >1h (never happened so far).

All these events are logged:
--> /proc/grzwolf shows current status
--> /proc/kmsg is extended by a couple of messages

Verification
The described modified kernel was installed on my Tab months ago.
Since then DS works perfect to me.
Furthermore I did not experience any side effects.
This kernel-mod had been announced at
http://www.android-hilfe.de/samsung-...ml#post5550736
Meanwhile the kernelmod is integrated:
BeeGee(Ganbarou), AAccount(A1 Kernel), kasper_h(Team Infamous/AOKP) and twa_priv(CM10.1/SGT7)

Preconditions for installation
- the kernelmod applies only for P4 devices (GT-P7500, GT-P7501)
- no need to contiue, if you don’t have a l2_hsic issue
- if you continue, you should know what you are doing
- I don’t take any warranty
- after flashing a Nightly ROM, the kernelmod needs to be installed again
- CM10.1 is installed on P4 according to the OP of thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...23&postcount=1

Kernelmod installation
- comply to the preconditions above
- within CWM make a Nandroid backup of a running isntallation
- copy 'P4 kernel' (see downloads below) to your Tab
- install 'P4 kernel modified' within CWM and check functionality after booting up
- if not ok, restore in CWM your Nandroid backup

I decided to compile ParanoidAndroid for my galaxy tab (P7510/p4wifi).

Details:
-Source code 18-05-2013 (3.50 -> still without Halo)
-Rom compiled with GCC4.7 toolchain & using O3
-InfamousAOKP 1.5 kernel
-Kernel compiled with GCC4.6 toolchain (4.7 gives problem with reboot).

Not extensively tested yet, so that is also why I added the alpha in the topic title!

I have only built this ROM for p4wifi/p7510. I have not, and will, not build for other tab models, so please don't ask me to do that. I won't :)

If you want to build it for another device, you can find the source code on my github:

I thought I would share that I was able to convert the .img file to a odin flash-able .tar.md5 file. Was not sure if anyone has posted it before and noticed that there was confusion in regards to the available files being in a img format. This is the CWM 6.0.3.1 "touch" file.

I have installed the touch recovery version on my Tab10.1 wifi and it works fine. Please follow the link for those who wish to use it.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/qhgu0comvd...covery.tar.md5

Hopefully its alright to provide this information for everyone to use.

If I have broken any rules in regards to posting can the moderators please delete it.

Please hit "THANKS" if I was able to help out.

[Kernel][ICS] Stock Kernel with Deepsleep Fix [GT-P750X]

So folks, its a little bit too late, i know:o, but i made a flashable zip of stock kernel from the China FW. It contains all the necessary modules, etc.. It contains all the necessary files that the tab falls to sleep after l2_hsic going crazy. This solve the unnecessarily high battery drain since Android 4.0.4 aka ICS was published by samsung. Is intended for those who have no desire to a custom kernel. ;)

But notice this kernel is not overclockable, should work with any firmware and this requires root to flash the kernel.

PS: But this kernel is only for the 3G versions (GT-P7500/7501), why only the 3G models are equipped with the high battery drain.

What do I need?
Quote:

- The kernel
- Root
->look here
-> Do you have ICS on it, point ranges 2 and 3
-> You still have Honeycomb on it, start from step 1
- a custom recovery -> for example here
- wherewithal basic knowledge -> Look at the forum or ask at Aunt Google.

How do i flash the kernel?
Quote:

- download the kernel and flash it through your custom recovery
- Of course only interesting if you are already using TWRP or CMW.
Flash through CWM / TWRP
Quote:

You place the zip on the internal memory or external SD card.
- To boot into recovery, hold volume down when you restart
- Go to "install zip from sd card", depending on the type of recovery (CWM)
-> Or just install (in TWRP)
- look for the folder where you have placed the zip
- And flashes this now by clicking on yes in CMW or slide to the right with TWRP.
- Then reboot and kernel you got it.
Important
Quote:

This kernel is to be used only with ICS!!
Important 2
Quote:

Before you flash this stuff, made a backup (Nandroid) of your system. Only if something goes wrong, this make sure you can restore your old system again. I 've tested it, but you never know.

Samsung, for there bugfree chinese kernel
and "stiffmeister", for found out which kernel is not effected by l2_hsic bug
PPS: I testet it with the Hungary FW without this kernel. After 1 hour the bug came back.:silly: So i flashed this kernel again and it works like charme. So it should work with any other FW.

Can anybody compile TWRP for GT-P7500 and GT-P7510?

Is there anybody with Android knowledge that could compile TWRP for Sansung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
You can search the web and you'll only find 2.2 version, and even not from the official site.
Couldn't the best recovery be available for us? :crying:

[ROM][P7510/p4wifi][JB4.2]CarbonROM - with HALO! ALPHA

I have been compiling InfamousAOKP as well as Paranoid Android for the galaxy tab (P7510/p4wifi). Although I like the HALO feature of PA, I also found several features lacking in PA. Then I came across Carbon ROM:
http://goo.im/devs/carbon

They make a ROM based on AOSP, merging key features of CM, AOKP & PA. This, combined with Linaro used for ROM building, results in an impressive ROM -> high speed & versatility. I decided to port this ROM to our device as well.

Details 12-June
-Source code 13/06/2013 (with Halo; you need to use PhabletUI to activate Halo, you can then switch to tabletUI)
-ROM build with Linaro 4.7 toolchain/O3, but kernel with 4.6 (to prevent reboot issues).
-Infamous kernel 1.7

Not extensively tested yet, so that is also why I added the alpha in the topic title!

I have only built this ROM for p4wifi/p7510. I have not, and will, not build for other tab models, so please don't ask me to do that. I won't :)

If you want to build it for another device, you can find the source code on my github:

https://github.com/kasperhettinga/an.../mackay-carbon

Infamous kernel:
https://github.com/InfamousAOKP/andr...nel_samsung_p4

Added some CM10.1 packages:
-cLock / LockClock
-DSPManager

First installation:
-Factory reset
-Wipe system partition
-Install ROM
-Install gapps (use the ones from the link below and not regular gapps)
-Boot it up

Download links:
http://www.xdafileserver.nl/index.ph...4wifi%2Fcarbon

PA gapps:
http://goo.im/devs/paranoidandroid/roms/gapps

Just one note: the PA gapps are extremely fully packed. I have no interest in 50+% of the apps included, so I removed them before flashing from the zip file (on a Windows PC you can use e.g. 7zip to do that).

Disclaimer
I'm not responsible for any damages on your device.

Based on my experience building rom with SaberMod toolchain on device i9100 and users feedback, I begin to build AOKP for p4 and decided to share my private builds with you all.
This build is compiled using SaberMod toolchain and like the official one, it is built from the same source: AOKP github
I could cherry-pick some commits ahead from AOKP team or patches from other repositories that I find useful.
The ROM and the kernel are tested by me first before I make it available online. I could have overseen something during testing, please be understand.
In summary, it is still AOKP that is compiled with SaberMod toolchain.
